Wayne Schepens is a veteran IT engineer who serves as vice president of Fairfax, Virginia-based W2 Communications (formerly Welz & Weisel). With an emphasis on cyber security, he undertakes analysis that enables growth companies to define and enter new markets in the financial, healthcare, retail, and energy spheres. He frequently assists clients in raising capital and moving toward strategic acquisitions. Wayne Schepens possesses extensive knowledge of the business-to-business and business-to-government markets and assists clients in DDoS prevention and cyber threat intelligence initiatives. <br />

Schepens completed graduate studies in civil engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Throughout the late 1990s, he worked for Virginia Beach-based Envisions, Inc., as an electrical engineer focused on shipboard electrical design. He also worked with the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Dahlgren Division as a systems test engineer. In this role, Schepens was responsible for shipboard installations that seamlessly integrated state-of-the-art software and hardware systems, in addition to searching for anomalies and analyzing data as part of the troubleshooting process.
